I am doing some looking into SCCM 2012 (Nice!). I thought I'd grab a few Type B CPEs with some webcasts. Here's a short series that fits both my needs.
The Link is here:
Unfortunately, the link won't take you straight to the video, so you'll have to search (and their search sucks...). Here's the link to the main page: http://events.microsoft.com/
I filtered (Meaning check only these boxes) Your Role: "IT Professionals" ; Event Type: "Webcasts", "Podcasts", "Videos" ; Level: All ; Time Length: "60 minutes". You can most likely filter a little better, just saying this is what I did to find it.
Here's what I did:
Domain: CISSP - General Education (Group B)
CPE Type: CBT
Course Name: SANS: Microsoft Virtual Academy: System Center Configuration Manager 2012 Overview and Infrastructure (Module 1) : Technical Overview
Number of hours: 1
Welcome!
Read the blog to see if any of them can help you!

Working with Snort
The CPEs I'm referring to today are (and aren't) free, unfortunately. I just recently got access to my SANS OnDemand class (SEC503: Intrusion Detection In-Depth) [http://www.sans.org/ondemand/description.php?tid=5016], and I wanted to learn some in-depth snort before entering that chapter of the class. To that end, I went and found some documentation on it.
So I'm thinking self study, outside the class, should be worth one or two type B credits, at least. However, there aren't many "official" webcasts to work with, so I threw up some VMs and have been tinkering around with Snort in my own learning way. Let me know if you think they'll be worth some credits, and I'll update this post!
Here's the link to the official documentation for Snort:

Microsoft Virtual Academy
Unfortunately, The ISC2 site is under maintenance until 4Sept11. But I wanted to let you know about a lot of CPE potential here. I signed into this and browsed the courses, and found quite a number of them that I'll take over time. I may link back to this later, as I take them, or I may just lump them up into my one post a week. We'll see!
I highly suggest checking this out if you want some free training!

Note: You must have a U.S. Government CAC for this training.

Some books I recommend!
Hello everyone! I added a short list of books I recommend to the right through an amazon link. I'm not the greatest page developer, so it doesn't looks super pretty.
These are all the books you'll need to pass the CISSP, or keep on your shelf for a reference. At least, they're all the ones I used/use! (Except for Eric Conrad's, I took his SANS course right before his book was published)

IMPORTANT: (ISC)2 CPE Submission Policy Changes for Reading Books and Magazine Subscriptions
This article was posted on (ISC)2's website at: https://www.isc2.org/MemberHome.aspx
IMPORTANT: (ISC)2 CPE Submission Policy Changes for Reading Books and Magazine Subscriptions
There has been a change in the requirements for awarding five (5) CPE hours for reading books (this is separate/different from writing/submitting a book review) and magazine subscriptions. Effective June 1, 2011, our system will stop automatic granting of CPEs for both of these CPE opportunities. This is the result of the ANSI annual surveillance audit of 2010, in which ANSI asked (ISC)2 to validate learning experience of those members who are awarded five (5) CPE hours for subscribing to (ISC)2-approved magazines and for reading books. Therefore, after June 1, (ISC)2 will require our members to upload a brief summary (not more than 150 words) describing their learning experience from the magazine to which they have subscribed or the book they have read. Members can upload the summary to their account when they claim the CPEs. Like any other CPE credits, members should provide the necessary document or information regarding this particular CPE claim should it be audited.
If you have any questions about this change, do not hesitate to contact us at memberservices@isc2.org.
