Your Work's Annual Security Briefing

Yes, this is worth CPEs. I just put in for 1 CPE for my "DoD Annual Security Refresher Briefing".

Mine happened to be a webcast, but I've seen them done in mass group briefings... either way, free CPE!

Portable Electronic Devices and Removable Storage Media v2.0

Another one from the DoD (Department of Defense). This one is called Portable Electronic Devices and Removable Storage Media v2.0. It's quick and easy, and gives you a certificate at the end.

eMASS Training

So, these 2 CPEs require you to have a DoD CAC card. Also, there's no certificate upon completion. I'd recommend taking some screenshots along the way, complete with your system time/date so you can prove you took the training to ISC2 if they audit you. Be sure to print and file this.

eMASS (Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service) is an accreditation tool. It's ok, I've seen much worse! This training takes you through it. It's a pretty easy 2 hours.

InfoSecurity Magazine Quiz & DoD Anti-Phishing Awareness

Since I missed yesterday (Already falling behind!), I'm posting two sources today.

InfoSecurity Professional Issue #1 Quiz There are 10 issues as of today, I've never taken any of the quizzes, so I started with Issue #1. (I'll get around to doing the other ones later)

This links to all issues of their magazine:
https://www.isc2.org/infosecurity_professional/default.aspx

Here's what I did:
Apply CPE to Credential/Concentration: CISSP
Domain for CPE Credit: CISSP - Multiple Domains (Group A)
Activity Start Date: 08/05/2010
CPE Type: (ISC)2's InfoSecurity Professional Magazine Quiz
Magazine issue: #1

And the second CPE Activity I did today is:
DoD Anti-Phishing Awareness. It's a pretty short module, but it provides a certificate at the end. It's ok. I'm sure it could have gone a lot more in-depth, but maybe their target was for the "Average Joe".

Here's the link (Click on Launch new Phishing). Ironically, are you becoming a victim of phishing if you click the link? =)

Here's what I did:
Apply CPE to Credential/Concentration: CISSP
Domain for CPE Credit: CISSP - Access Controls
Activity Start Date: 08/05/2010
CPE Type: Self-Study, Computer Based Training (CBT) or Web Cast

CyberProtect Network Defense Exercise (1-2 CPEs)

Today's CPE is brought to us by the Department of Defense (DoD). It's called CyberProtect v2. It's a pretty interesting interactive training simulation on... you guessed it, network defense.

Did I mention this was free?

I did it in just under an hour. my friend took an hour and a half., so 1-2 free CPE's. Don't forget to print your certificate at the end! Thanks, DoD!

The link to it is here: CyberProtect v2

So, I went with:
Apply CPE to Credential/Concentration: CISSP
Domain for CPE Credit: CISSP - Multiple Domains (Group A)
Activity Start Date: 08/02/2010
CPE Type: Security Training Provided
Subject Taught: CyberProtect Network Defense Exercise
CPEs Claimed: 1

Good luck!
